WebJun 11, 2009 · I have fished the bass ponds for 20+ years. That is where I learned how to fish. They used to be used as rearing ponds way back in the day. Hogback Ridge pond, and the one just beyond that hold good fish. There is a pond beyond that right next to 77 that they had drained and dredged and I'm not sure what they are going to do with it. The big bass here have learned to avoid the most common lures, in this place I fish with lures I know most people do not fish with. Another thing is bass tend to move around depending on the season, weather, and other factors.
